If you like including Christian fiction in your homeschool, you’ll want to check out Prisoner of War from Whatsoever Stories.
I received a physical copy of this softcover book from Whatsoever stories. This book is a fictional account of a young man who secretly flies into a POW camp to rescue 300 men during WWII.
Geared for ages 12-adult, I found this book to have an intriguing plot line and well-written prose. Older children well-versed in vocabulary and reading skills could probably read this on there own. However, I feel reading these types of books is great for family discussion.
I appreciated how the book included a preface of historical context at the book’s opening. The character development was well organized and the it was easy to read.
I would recommend the book for older homeschool students who are studying modern history as the events align well with this time period.
I also appreciated how the book showed parallels of political war and spiritual war. While it was not overly emphasized (which I loved), the book included thoughts and discussion ideas in the back.
If you like reading Christian fiction as a homeschool family, be sure to check out more from Whatsoever Stories.
