Disclosure: I received a FREE copy of this product through the Homeschool Review Crew in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

My family is so thrilled to be reviewing the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership from SchoolhouseTeachers.com! I was so impressed with the numerous resources and tools at my fingertips. It really changed our homeschooling and gave us a bit more freedom by introducing new subject material with a fresh perspective. Since I homeschool a 6th grader and a preschooler, this was a fun addition to our homeschool days.

Schoolhouse Teachers.com is an online subscription that is packed with a variety of materials for every subject. Here’s a bit about the website and the courses we focused on.

Christian World-View Curriculum

I am completely confident that my children are receiving Christ-centered instruction with any of the subjects I chose. From Art to History and everything in between, the content is purposeful with Christ at the center.

Homeschool Planning

As busy homeschool parents, clear lesson plans are key to a smoother homeschool year. SchoolhouseTeachers.com understands this completely! I am thrilled about the layout and easy-to-follow lesson plans.

These lesson plans are carefully crafted by other experienced homeschool parents and teachers. The plans are easy to adjust according to the level of your children.

Record Keeping

Whether you keep specific grades or need help with high school transcripts, this website offers that for you. It’s very easy to input grades and keep averages as you.

Video Library

Videos are another wonderful addition to your homeschool resources. The Ultimate Pre-K-12 annual membership includes numerous educational videos to add to your curriculum. They also have many videos to guide parents in their homeschooling journey.

Courses We Loved

I am so glad that I have many years left in our homeschooling journey! This leaves more time to enjoy more courses the SchoolhouseTeachers offers. This spring semester, I am using the following courses with my children.

Earth Science

I’ve really struggled to keep up with Science the past two years (confession time…). Whether you’re homeschooling two children or several, science is an amazing way to teach children about who God really is through His creation.  My 6th grader showed an increased interest in earth science and we tried out this self-paced course.

Pre-Recorded Lessons

This course is designed for students in grades 7-9. However, the beauty of homeschooling is that you can truly assess the level of your students. The simplicity of the pre-recorded lessons taught by an experienced scientist from a Christian worldview is amazing.

The course is designed for a typical school (roughly 35 weeks). The lessons range anywhere from 8 -15 minutes each. This is so helpful regardless of what your homeschool day looks like. The course also contains:

  • Easy to follow outlines and worksheets
  • Optional tests and answer keys
  • A lesson plan is broken down by weeks and days

We didn’t need any other materials for the course. I did print out the worksheets and keep them in a binder for easy reference and organization.

Drawing With Realism

My children LOVE to draw. When I saw Schoolhouse Teachers.com offered a variety of art courses at different levels, I knew I had to incorporate art into our school day.

Experienced artist, Jan Bower, offers specific tools and techniques to increase your drawing skills and develop a love of beauty.

  • Simple to follow lesson plans
  • Pre-recorded lessons
  • Complete list of materials needed for each drawing

While this course is geared for grades 7-12, you can determine your child’s ability prior to beginning. My 6th grader loves the course and the things she’s learned so far. She actually spent an entire afternoon with the videos and art supplies, enjoying her time.

“Mom, this teacher is awesome! Before I was only drawing simple figures and now, look at this! I’m loving this so much!”

All About the Alphabet

I can’t leave out my preschooler! Since my children have a vast age difference, my homeschool days look different each day. Of course, we have our routines, but homeschooling a preschooler comes with additional challenges. When I’m working on a lesson with my 6th-grade daughter, I need to keep the preschooler busy with purposeful activities.

My son showed an interest in learning much sooner than I anticipated. When “sister” is at the table, he must sit beside her and do lessons too. All About the Alphabet provided creative ways that I could intentionally incorporate into our mornings.

Activity Variety

This course includes ample activities from A-Z for little people to enjoy. Creatively and simply laid out, you can choose as many or as little as you want for your preschooler. I always planned for more so I wasn’t caught off guard when he wanted to do more painting or gluing.

If you’re interested in Charlotte Mason education, there are plenty of nature study activities included for each letter.

Book Lists

I love using Literature-based curriculum in our homeschool. The more children interact with books on all levels, the more they fall in love with reading.

Our experience with SchoolhouseTeachers.com has been amazing so far! I’m looking forward to continuing our use in our homeschooling journey. If you’re thinking about homeschooling, I encourage you to check out this amazing, complete curriculum!
