Slowing Your Pace and Savoring Scripture

I’ve talked quite a bit on here about slowing down in life. It’s also no secret that I love reading books that help me do just that. When I picked up Whispers and Wildflowers, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew I wanted a book that would encourage slowing my pace and savoring Scripture. I got so much more than that.

My Review of Whispers and Wildflowers

Whispers and Wildflowers by Sarah Beth Marr is a 30-day interactive devotional designed to deepen your walk with God. As women, we’re constantly finding ourselves preoccupied with busy things in life. Whether we’re organizing car-pools, meal planning, homeschooling, or planning projects, there’s always something to do.

During crazy seasons of life, it’s not long before we find that our spirits are just as busy as our bodies. In this book, Sarah uses beautiful metaphors of outdoor gardening to helps us cultivate the garden of our hearts.

Slowing Your Pace

When we find ourselves withdrawn or simply overwhelmed, we must return to the examples Jesus set for us in the Scriptures. He wants us to set aside time for Him.

Savoring Scripture

This book is filled with beautiful metaphors, places to journal, numerous Scripture focal points, prayers, and Sarah’s personal struggles. Sarah graciously woos us toward Christ and the desire to make time for Him regardless of our season of life.
